a Sanguine Promise, Chapter 25 I couldn’t tell if I was awake or asleep when my eyes opened at nightfall, despite my body urging them not to. Everything hit me all at once as I drudged myself up from my dreamlike state of catatonia and I wanted to sink back down into oblivion forever. Reality was just too much to take right now. The weight depressing the bed next to me told me that Liam was still there.
